U.S : They still don’t care about Black people !

When government and corporations think they can fail us without consequences, they will literally poison us.

Make 2017 the year that government and corporations fear disappointing Black people.

Dear friend,

This is why we need to make every politician and corporation in America afraid of failing Black people.
From Flint to North Dakota to Baltimore, we see what happens when our government is run like a failed business venture – people lose every time. Every time we're forced to drink dirty or toxic water, accept cuts to our public schools and health care or compromise our privacy and security. Even our basic constitutional rights are under attack with a pending Trump presidency. Enough is enough.

We need to make every politician and corporation in America afraid of failing Black people. Because when governments and corporations think they can fail us without consequences, they will literally poison us.
To get the justice Black people across the country deserve, we must intervene across all branches of government; across targeted levels of corporate decision making; and across targeted civic and community institutions to build the accountability needed to protect Black people. We can neither be out-organized, nor out-energized in the coming year.
Dear friend, we are now in a profoundly new environment in which there is no single “national” level-setting force. The only way we will succeed is if we :
  • Double down on all of our system change work.
  • Train people to take action in their own communities.
  • Build empathy for Black folks and vulnerable groups, while also demonstrating empathy for the people we need to win back.
  • Spark a movement of anti-trollers, so our voice is never shut out or shut down by a culture of hate.
  • Overturn suppression measures in the numbers we need to restore our collective power, while also preparing and mobilizing voters to jump the hurdles we can’t remove.

How we respond in this moment will define our movement for years. 2017 must be the year that people in power learn to fear failing our communities. We must force corporations-including media-to choose sides, and prevent white supremacist, misogynistic, and xenophobic practices from normalizing. And we must forge a united front to disrupt the progress of the right wing agenda wherever we can.
We’ve proven time and again that we are a powerful community. We have shown what’s possible and deliver real value for people — concrete gains people can readily name and touch. We win real, big stuff for real people. In the coming year we will be an effective, unapologetic OPPOSITION, built to win the media wars and change hearts and minds; win key elections and take control; mobilize millions of new people to define the majority; and ultimately govern the country. We concede nothing. We will take back what’s ours.
As always, we remain unbought and unbossed and will work tirelessly to help people integrate activism much more deeply into their lives.

Until justice is real,
